Like us when we're facing “storms,” in our lives, the disciples probably weren't remembering the presence of Jesus in their midst. Instead, they were overwhelmed with anxiety.
When a Christian's standard of morality is firmly-planted in the life-giving Word of our Creator, he is rightly grounded in the immutable nature of God. Not only is God an eternally consistent foundation, but He promises His adopted children that they will bear good fruit in Him.
So we know that in order to bear fruit, God's word must take root and grow in our hearts. We also know that our hearts must be prepared ahead of time for His Word to be received. But, what must we do to bear fruit once his Word has taken root and we are saved?
